He claimed their rates were approved by the ***** *********** but their rates were actually higher than the highest approved rate at the time across the state. So clearly their strategy is to lure in customers, and then jack up rates - their General Counsel did not deny this, but simply insisted it was all perfectly legal.When I issued a complaint, I received several extremely threatening emails back from their General Counsel. They claimed these were market prices, but that was a direct comparison against Nstar's spot market prices on that month.The moment I cancelled, however, I received WEEKLY emails from them (after literally no emails for years) trying to get me back. Like DOUBLE or TRIPLE the rate from a contract, and nearly DOUBLE the no-contract rate through Nstar (which is the default rate). However, they charged WAY above-market rates. I had no email record of any notice (and can prove that). They claimed they did, but I personally received no notification. We signed up for a program for 12 months, and when it rolled off they did not make much of an effort at all to notify us. They deliberately mislead in their marketing. They mask their services using Greenwashing (but their energy sources are not at all very eco-friendly if you read the details).This is an incredibly deceptive and aggressive company. I am typically an easy customer, but ********************** is a seriously abusive company using strongarm legal tactics to defend business practices that are unethical and likely illegal. So, stay away from any solar company as the road probably leads back to them. They know that and that's there ace in the hole to keep charging you whatever they want. Then, if you don't pay, your credit is destroyed. There's no way this should be legal! I'm afraid to even get my next bill. But, I'm guessing the politicians are in their back pocket. The person I spoke to that was high up said he couldn't guarantee that my bill wouldn't go up 500- 600%.
Who in there right mind would sign up for any service that's going to double, triple, quadruple or even higher than they're paying. His reply " Do you have a recording of it". I went up the ladder when I called to the highest person I could talk to. STAY AWAY! They lie to get you to sign up. This can add up to thousands of what you would have paid to your electric company.
Then when you cancel, it takes 8 more months of getting billed before your finally out. I called Eversouce and the representative said they were a scam company. I called the attorney General and filled out a complaint. Which is double of what I was paying to Eversouce. I called up and the representative said I was guaranteed that 7% savings. That's when I found out it was the guy at the doors " approval " paper. I called and said I never signed the contract. Well, Suddenly, out of nowhere I'm 3 months behind in paying them. He said the contract would come in a couple of weeks. The approval paper I signed was actually the contract. He said I had to sign up to get approved. FOREVER! The salesperson that came to my door looked at my eversouce bill and said I was guaranteed to save 7%. This company said I would save 7% of my current electric bill.
